I just watched last night's Eli Stone.

Eli called SpyDaddy a fanboy.

All you Who/Torchwood fans, go here for a super cute clip of John Barrowman choosing David Tennant for a shag.

PS. Is it just me, or does the guy with the glasses, Alan, remind you of Mr Humphries from Are You Being Served? Not just the, er, obvious, but as in, the voice, the face, the mannerisms, everything!

I was watching Access Hollywood this morning while I got ready. Apparently it was yesterday's ep, because it was Emmy day, and they were giving all the nominees plants for "going green."

Neil Patrick Harris: This is perfect for me! I even drive a Prius.

Access Hollywood: You do?

NPH: Yes! I named it Judas. Get it? Judas Prius!

Usually, I ignore the little sidebar of links Gmail always includes with incoming mail. It's the only thing I don't like about using their email. But today I saw this one: Why Mommy is a Democrat.

Hee! How awesome is that? Check out the sample pages. I am seriously getting this for Small Anne. It will piss off at least half my family, and all of S's, but I can live with that. It just plain looks cute and I want it. Plus, it will help Small Anne better understand why Mama is, in fact, a Democrat. ::g::

Brokeback Mountain, as told by the Bunnies.

Of course, it seems to totally give away key elements of plot progression and, you know, THE ENDING, but still: Funny.

Guess I don't have to see the movie now. Hee.

My dad passed this along to me, and I think everyone should check it out. Prepare to laugh yourselves silly:

The Bulwer-Lytton Fiction Contest.

For those of you wondering why you should click on the link: It's a contest inspired by the most famous of all bad opening lines, "It was a dark and stormy night." They ask people to come up with horrible opening sentences and then judge accordingly. Some of them are truly bloody hilarious. I have been in hysterics the past ten minutes.

I think this one is my favorite--

The double agent looked up from his lunch of Mahi-Mahi and couscous and realized that he must escape from Walla Walla to Bora Bora to come face-to-face with his arch enemy by taking out his 30-30 and shooting off his nemesis' ear-to-ear grin so he could wave bye-bye to this duplicitous life, but the chances of him pulling this off were only so-so, much less than 50-50.

An absolutely hysterical article about shopping with Alan Cumming. You will love him even more than you already do, I promise.

Plus imagine: Halloween with Alan Cumming and Ian McKellen. How freakin' cool would that be?

I've been emailing with my friend B today, and he was asking about the job search, etc. He asked how the Snippet was doing during the great Sole Income Spree of '04. I told him the Snippet is doing fine, and that as compensation for his being the only employed member of our little family, I have been doing the cooking and cleaning. Usually we split those chores fairly evenly, but lately I've felt it was only fair to pick up the slack since otherwise I would be making no significant contribution.

B's reply (and no, he wasn't serious, but still):

So you are staying home and doing the housework and the cooking, and your husband is working all day and making all the money. It's so retro! It's so Republican!

Please help me kill him.
